Trapani is located in the extreme west part of Sicily.

It is also called the “city between two seas” as it extends over a narrow strip of land, surrounded by the sea, which tapers towards the extreme tip and is located at the foot of Mount Erice, near Selinunte, and in front of the beautiful Egadi Islands and the famous Saline.

In its historic center there are various churches in late Baroque style, the famous church of Purgatory dating back to the eighteenth century which houses the 20 Mysteries, sculptures made by artisans of Trapani depicting the Passion of Christ where every year on Good Friday the procession of the Mysteries, a religious event of great charm, takes place. Another attraction which cannot be missed in Trapani is the Museum of Coral jewellery. The coral in their area has a particular shade of red which makes it unique.
Eating and Drinking:
Try the famous cous cous traditionally hand rolled semolina moisted with fish soup…..and of course cannoli in this area are spectacular!!!
