The city of Marsala stands on a rocky point on the western side of Sicily.

It rises on the ruins of the ancient Punic cities of Lilibeo, from which it takes its name and of Mozia, located within the natural reserve “islands of the Stagnone of Marsala” an enchanting place for its famous pink sunsets.

The production of the famous Marsala wine, for which reason it has been the City of Wine since 1987 and takes its name.
Must see:
The Stagnone, where the marvelous salt pans are located, one of the major tourist attractions in the area, is a natural reserve, the perfect habitat for reproduction and for many animal species including the pink flamingo.
